I Believe Magic Exists in the Details

Hi, I’m Emily — designer, mom, lifelong nerd, and founder of StudioFlow Designs.

Why Design?

My love for design started early, moving from school to school as a military kid. Some buildings inspired connection and curiosity… others made you want to run out the door. That difference stuck with me. I realized how much space impacts how we feel, how we learn, and how we show up in the world.

Later, visiting Disney World sealed the deal. The way they design for total immersion — carefully crafting sightlines, pumping in scents, hiding service areas, and making every ride tell a story — showed me the power of thoughtful, layered design. It made me want to do the same, in my own way.

People are often surprised to learn my husband and I had the same last name before we got married (nope — not related). We’ve been together since we were 16. After going through IVF, we welcomed our miracle, our Son — and every day since has been a new kind of adventure.

Outside of Work

I’m a proud Hufflepuff, book nerd, and die-hard Disney fan. I geek out over stories with dragons, magic, and unlikely heroes. My husband and I dress up for ComicCon and the Renaissance Festival every year, and I even painted a mural in my son’s room filled with our favorite worlds — Hogwarts, Narnia, Star Wars, Tim Burton, and more. (My son doesn’t know how lucky he is. Yet.)

If I had one spontaneous wish? I’d be on a plane, catching Magic Kingdom fireworks from Main Street by nightfall.

I believe design should feel human, intuitive, and quietly powerful. That’s what I bring to every project — and every space I touch.

If you’re curious to collaborate — creatively, professionally, or just want to talk nerdy — I’d love to hear from you.
